Hello everyone! We’re Penn Blockchain (@PennBlockchain on twitter) & FranklinDAO, a leading, completely student run blockchain organization/DAO from The University of Pennsylvania for both our undergraduate and graduate schools. The club currently has over 300 general body members and 75+ active committee members; and we’re expecting many more next semester!
We have committees covering Governance, Research, Education, Business Development, and Development/Web3. On the governance side of things, our team has different members leading governance initiatives for different protocols we have delegations for. Current Penn Blockchain delegations include Aave, Compound, Uniswap, DyDx, IndexCoop, etc.
We’d love to be your Morpho delegate, and have kept in touch with the team as they expand their governance. Our weekly discussions combine graduates with years of expertise in many jurisdictions with many bright minded undergrads eager to leave their impact and names in Web3. Members of our club are actively working internally on different projects, and Morpho is something that we believe is a great product and is poised for some great growth!
Delegation is exciting!
Can you please share how have you and the team helped other DAOs?
Hey Dante! Thanks for the comment, we’re currently large delegates for Aave, Maker, Uniswap, Optimism, Compound, dYdX, and a few other smaller platforms. If you check out their forums and look us up you can see a much more in depth overview. In short however, we have helped anywhere from creating new proposals, providing feedback on many projects, connecting teams, and anything else that might arise in addition to voting and communicating our decisions on our votes!
MIP4 - Age 3 total distribution
We voted YES: Looking forward to the new rewards for incentivize liquidity for Age 3. Also, super excited to start voting and looking forward to new governance initiatives!
MIP5 - Whitelist Morpho’s vaults and Sense contracts to transfer $MORPHO tokens
We voted YES: Looking forward to the next step of $MORPHO and the eventual transferability of the ERC20!
MIP6 - Add granular pausing and asset deprecation
We voted YES: A rather easy decision; We believe adding these market pausing or asset depreciation governance controlled functions is a great step forward for Morpho.
[Gauges Vote] Age 3 - Epoch 1
We voted: Split our vote ~evenly across aWETh, aSTETH, aWBTC, aUSDC, cUSDC, cETH. Reason being we wanted to split the rewards 33/66 for Compound and Aave. With these sizes, we chose the eth/steth, btc, and usdc as our main focuses.
any reason why you didn’t follow the optimized distribution presented here ?
Not saying it’s a bad thing, just trying to understand.
Have a good holidays.
Reasoning came down to we wanted more liquidity on Morpho pools to shift to those pools. Think in the long term, those pools will be highest revenue generating.
MIP7 - FEI market deprecation
We voted YES: As FEI itself is already winding/winded down, no need for this market here anymore as well.
MIP - Governance & Snapshot Update #2
We voted YES: Voting yes to the DAO timelock and parameter updates as they are logical and needed steps in the formation of a well organized DAO!
MIP10 - Morpho, Lenses & Vaults upgrades
We voted YES: Voting to upgrade Morpho and Lens profiles to make the contracts more resilient and maintainable and to depreciate the markets if it hasn’t been paused earlier, also deprecating pool rewards. The upgraded vaults will be more gas efficient.
