Hello everyone! We’re Penn Blockchain (@PennBlockchain on twitter) & FranklinDAO, a leading, completely student run blockchain organization/DAO from The University of Pennsylvania for both our undergraduate and graduate schools. The club currently has over 300 general body members and 75+ active committee members; and we’re expecting many more next semester!
We have committees covering Governance, Research, Education, Business Development, and Development/Web3. On the governance side of things, our team has different members leading governance initiatives for different protocols we have delegations for. Current Penn Blockchain delegations include Aave, Compound, Uniswap, DyDx, IndexCoop, etc.
We’d love to be your Morpho delegate, and have kept in touch with the team as they expand their governance. Our weekly discussions combine graduates with years of expertise in many jurisdictions with many bright minded undergrads eager to leave their impact and names in Web3. Members of our club are actively working internally on different projects, and Morpho is something that we believe is a great product and is poised for some great growth!
Hey Dante! Thanks for the comment, we’re currently large delegates for Aave, Maker, Uniswap, Optimism, Compound, dYdX, and a few other smaller platforms. If you check out their forums and look us up you can see a much more in depth overview. In short however, we have helped anywhere from creating new proposals, providing feedback on many projects, connecting teams, and anything else that might arise in addition to voting and communicating our decisions on our votes!
We voted YES: Looking forward to the new rewards for incentivize liquidity for Age 3. Also, super excited to start voting and looking forward to new governance initiatives!
We voted YES: A rather easy decision; We believe adding these market pausing or asset depreciation governance controlled functions is a great step forward for Morpho.
We voted: Split our vote ~evenly across aWETh, aSTETH, aWBTC, aUSDC, cUSDC, cETH. Reason being we wanted to split the rewards 33/66 for Compound and Aave. With these sizes, we chose the eth/steth, btc, and usdc as our main focuses.
Reasoning came down to we wanted more liquidity on Morpho pools to shift to those pools. Think in the long term, those pools will be highest revenue generating.
We voted YES: Voting to upgrade Morpho and Lens profiles to make the contracts more resilient and maintainable and to depreciate the markets if it hasn’t been paused earlier, also deprecating pool rewards. The upgraded vaults will be more gas efficient.
