[RFC] Morpho Worldcoin Mini-App Transition Grant Proposal

Morpho × Feather — Worldcoin Mini-App Transition Grant Proposal

Summary

Feather proposes to take over operation of the Morpho Worldcoin mini-app, transitioning it from Morpho to independent operation under the Feather brand. We’re requesting a $50,000 grant, paid in MORPHO and priced at a 60-day TWAP measured from the date of proposal approval. The grant covers the brand and UI overhaul, one year of RPC and Worldchain infrastructure maintenance, and one year of guaranteed end user and curator support.

Context

Morpho is reducing exposure to Morpho branded interface that are not the main Morpho app — a broader effort which already started with the transition of the Lite app functionality to app.feather.zone. This proposal if approved would hand the operation of the standalone Worldcoin mini-app to Feather so the surface stays actively maintained, supported, and improved for Worldcoin’s users rather than deprecated as an interface.

Why Feather

Feather operates Morpho infrastructure in production today, and we’ve already done the exact category of work this grant asks for.

Feather replaced a deprecated Morpho surface (Morpho Lite) before — flawlessly. Under two prior Morpho grant, Feather rebuilt the interfaces for the deprecated Morpho Lite app across six chains. The migration shipped without a single user facing incident: no downtime, no broken positions, no lost funds, no escalations back to Morpho. Even better, we actually improved the analytics and available functionality, all shipped exactly on time with the timetable we earmarked.

The Worldcoin mini-app has the same problem as Morpho Lite, a potentially deprecated surface with real users and real deposits that needs a steady operator, and it’s one we’ve already solved cleanly once.

We’re curators, not just maintainers. Feather is a live vault curator on SEI/Celo/Kaia with more vaults/chains being added soon. We deeply understand the vault x interface relationship, the curator relationships, and the risk surfaces because that’s our core business.

Our incentives are aligned with growth. Feather wants this app to thrive, because a larger, healthier mini-app is the foundation for a monetizable interface. Morpho gets a maintained Worldchain presence at zero ongoing cost; Worldcoin gets an operator with skin in the game.

Scope of work

1. Handoff. GitHub repositories and permissions, DNS, API keys, and deployment documentation transfer from Morpho to Feather, working alongside the Worldcoin Foundation.

2. Validation period. Feather monitors app performance and handles minor bug fixes with deployment support from Morpho’s engineering team, before any major rebranding begins.

3. Progressive rebrand. A phased transition designed to avoid confusing existing users. Per agreement with Morpho, the app stays clearly non-Morpho-branded throughout, retaining only a “powered by Morpho” asset reference. Feather would work directly with Worldchain and Morpho to manage this careful transition.

4. Infrastructure & maintenance (1 year). RPC infrastructure management, Worldchain upgrade handling, monitoring, and reporting.

5. Support (1 year). End user support, curator coordination, and Worldcoin Foundation liaison.

Grant Breakdown
Front-end + brand overhaul = $25k
RPC infra & maintenance (1 yr) = $13k
User & curator support, foundation liaison (1 yr) = $13k
Total = $50k

Payment terms

The grant would be denominated in USD at $50,000 and paid in MORPHO. The MORPHO price would be set by a 60-day TWAP measured from the date of proposal approval.

After Year 1

The grant funds the transition; it isn’t meant to fund Feather in perpetuity. Our goal is for the app to stand on its own economically by the end of the support year, and we have a clear path to get there.

By Year 1, the mini-app will be fully Feather branded, migrated to the Morpho API, and growing on a stable footing. From that base we intend to monetize the interface directly and launch Feather’s own curated vaults on Worldchain, turning the app from a cost center into a revenue generating surface for both Feather and the broader Morpho ecosystem. Every deposit that flows through these vaults is incremental Morpho powered TVL that wouldn’t exist if the mini-app had been deprecated.

This is the outcome that benefits everyone: Morpho keeps a growing Worldchain miniapp presence at zero ongoing compensation while offboarding the interface surface area risk, Worldcoin keeps a maintained and improving app for its users, and Feather builds a sustainable business on top of it.
